FER le CHEVAL oddity

I purchased both of these soap blocks at the same time. They have been used the exact same amount of times . As you can see , the palm oil

formula lasts much longer , judging by the photos maybe 50% longer !
 
This is rather normal.

Longevity is related to several factors:
1) curing
2) milling
3) oil type

Since olive oil (vs palm oil, coconut oil, etc.) is soft (liquid at room temperature), it renders a softer soap.

Btw, Fer à Cheval also offers an olive oil-only SdM (vs olive-coconut pictured above).


(La Licorne makes a multi-milled SdM, but because it's exclusively olive oil, it's still soft.)
