Feedback sought regarding TopCare razor blades from Wegmans

What company manufactures TopCare blades for Wegmans? Are they decent quality to use for a beginner? I live near Washington, DC and would like to buy my blades from a store if possible. Thanks.

They're likely ASR or Dorco in a store label. In which case the consensus is that they're serviceable but you could find better.
Look for "made in USA" or "Korea" on the package.

Do you happen to know where I may find better locally (Washington,DC) ? I seem to have this aversion to mail ordering. If I must where do you suggest I order from for the best bargain? Thank you.

Well, no reason not to try those blades from Wegman's. You might like them, but you'll probably want to experiment too. Blades can be had from a variety of vendors that are well thought of here at B&B, as well as from eBay and horror stories are very, very few. The majority of people we do business with are honest sellers. You'll get plenty of suggestions.

I work at a grocery store here in Washington. Lot's of Topcare products including the DE razor blades. Will be trying them out here shortly when my stuff comes in.

There are Art of Shaving stores in Alexandria (or Arlington?) and Tyson's corner.
