I’m out. I apologize to everyone who is taking this more seriously than I am and staying strong. I feel my heart hasn’t been in it this year. I’m going to take the rest of this month and probably next month off and see if I can differentiate between wants and needs a little bit better.

I bought two pre war techs and a post war tech from BST yesterday. Then I ordered a Lupo 58 top cap and bottom plate.

I will most likely send the better of the two pre war tech and the post war tech to BRG for plating in March.

I missed yesterday because of travel. In Vegas for a few days. Not my best shave but, not the worst either. Reminds me of how much I really dislike cartridge shaving. A few weepers and some irritation. Makes appreciate my de’s that much more.

Introspection is key, here. When these restraints become more than gentlemanly, I don't see how there's shame in pulling back to look at the big picture.

May you get the perspective you desire, and the smooth shaves you deserve. And I hope you'll continue to follow and comment even if from the figurative "sidelines".

I was actually surprised at the quality level of the end result given my relative sloppiness in executing the shave.

Almost lost it when I thought I spotted a Gillette Double Ring, but fortunately it was just a lookalike. Still in!

Pre-shave: was a Warm Shower and the last one for the M.E. Soap the little piece made it's way into the soap wash thing i have. 3 more soap pieces and that thing will be ready to lather me up.
Razor&Blade: 1959 Gillette Fatboy loaded with a Rapira Blade. 2 pass shave WTG & ATG, i shaved my face and neck a little stubble was there to slice off. Oh yeah i left some fur above my collar bone(?) and a shave today was needed.
Lather: Stirling Soap Co. Sandpiper sample. A great lather today maybe the ice is thawing out the well water they have. But in seconds this lather was thick, slick and i still can't pick out the scent. It is a good scent but my nose's bad sniffing and me not knowing scents doesn't help.
Lather Gear: Captain's Choice Copper Bowl Amethyst(?) was whipped in by a Yaqi 24mm Mountain Lake Brush. Both helped create the great lather.
After-shave: Omega Alum then Stirling Soap Aftershave Balm Deep Blue Sea. Sealed my face up and moistened my face and neck. So moist...

A 10/10 for my third february Grume shave. My performance yesterday was 7/10...

I’m with Guido — points for style in any case The MdC Absinthe is on my short list for when I run out of soap, not sure I could resist if it was literally under my nose.
