UPDATE for SWS:
The Ariana & Evans L' Orange Verte soap seems to be causing some burning and stinging issues. This is the 2nd soap in my collection that doesn't suit my skin. I am switching to the Proraso Azur Lime for the remainder of the week.

Feather DX
Feather AC Pro (6)
Muhle XL STF
Proraso Azur Lime

It is interesting that the tube of Proraso shows a picture of a straight razor and uses the words "single blade". What I say is this is a slick and fragrant lather and my face doesn't have any sensitivity issues. DFS+ today.

Please take care of yourself and each other.

Perhaps the M7 fits that bill just the more better. Similar handle, but distinctly different enough. A touch smaller in the knot diameter IIRC

Very quick and deliberate SAS this morning before jumping on the road - enjoy your Sunday !

Shave #6

Back home from a quick weekend getaway; oldest daughter was attending a Leadership Conference for FFA - was a fantastic experience for her and her friends.

In all the hustle and bustle, I left my brush home drying in the stand from its last use.

Made for an interesting use of the MdC nugget that I brought with.
Applied as if it was the last bit of a Speick stick and simply built a decent lather with wet fingertips - Brilliant !

Didn't press our luck though and ended with a modest 2-pass CCS for the win.
Tomorrow and Wednesday are going to be early rises as I head back out on the road again for an expo of my own in Anaheim, CA.

Cheers all !
(I did have some parcels awaiting me from restraint) :001_wub:

Day 6, 21.4% complete.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #7
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea 2-in-1 Aftershave

SV70 again. A good near-BBS, but a hint of blade-burn on the problem area under my chin. Getting a bit over-zealous with ATG there.

Notes to today’s shave:

Still in!

A fantastic shave today!! Wonderful. The Timeless disciplined the Tiger into performance and perform it did. Smooth, comfortable, irritation free and best of all as good a BBS as any.

I needed this shave after a number of mediocre ones. I will use the Timeless for the remainder of the week to see where she can take this blade.

More details on today’s shave can be found in my journal here.

Enjoy your shave today!

Razor: Henson al13+
Blade: Treet platinum (4)
Soap: B&M Seville
Brush: GFS "Hog"/Omega 10019
Post: RR Green Label splash

2 pass with a tiny bit of buffing gave me another DFS+.
Pulled out the "Hog", I like small brushes but this little beast is STIFF. Been used a bunch but still has lots of unsplit bristles. Comparing my Semogue 1305 to this I would conclude that I like "floppy" brushes. I like to paint more then scrub.
Anyway, another lovely shave.

Be well
Jay

The Single Blade line is underrated here, IMO. Excellent slickness and performance for the price. Great cream! :thumbup1:
There is something inside of me that wants to appreciate the simple, traditional soaps and not just the new artisan brands that hits the market.
Beautiful Photo!
Ditto- see above

I also like the floppier brushes.

I felt like being a little more interactive today.
I enjoy and appreciate input from everyone!
