I have been DE shaving for about 5 months, when I first started out I got the Sampler Blade Pack from west coast shaving and started my adventure. I tried a bunch of blades and tried the feathers at the end of the run.
My first time using a feather was a disaster that I then chalked up to the fact that the blade is so sharp. I eventually settled on Dorco's as they gave me a good comfortable shave.
5 months down the line after I have perfected my technique and learned to lather properly I decided to give the feathers another go, this was after a couple of days of growth. My god what an amazing shave I got , no weepers, no irritation and the razor glided over my skin scything through everything in its path. I was literally amazed how good of a shave I got, the next day same thing. I thought this must be my imagination and the next morning switched back to a Dorco blade, the result tugging, more passes and slight irritation.
Today it was back to the feathers and I am seriously considering a switch. I can't believe the difference a blade makes with proper technique. Cant wait to try one in the FatBoy adjustable I won last night.
Oh BTW never going back to Gillette MultiBladed monsters.
