Seems like metal to me. Quite substantial.
I would think it would be durable. It is reasonably well made. To me it is not as nice as a Gillette Tech in terms of build quality.

I had one for a while, but sold it. I could never get a shave from it that wasn't irritating. Then again, that was relatively early on in my DE days, so it might have been user error.

It's plated metal, not aluminum, I'm pretty sure. I got one from the place Alex linked to about half a year ago. It showed right up with no problems. As far as tech clones go, this one seems pretty well liked.

it is definitely a razor that requires some experience, or just foresight knowledge, because IMO, i did not notice the fact that I could adjust blade exposure accidentally by moving the safety bar prior to tightening. I think this is a major reason most say one side was way milder or aggressive than the other during a single shave...

however, if bar is properly aligned, which is very easy to do by eye, it gives a very nice shave.

however, now that you have that foresight knowledge, you should be able to easily make sure the blade is properly positioned.

I have a Feather Portable that's just collecting dust. Couldn't ever get a decent shave from it without irritation. PM me your address and I can PIF it to you. Merry Christmas.
