Feather blades - have i been ripped off?

I bought a sampler pack from an ebay vendor which contained a 5 pack of feather blades.

These blades came in a black coloured packaging rather than the yellows ive seen and came in a 5 pack.

Now the vendor states that these are the same blades, just different packaging for different markets... And also shows a statement by feathers which backs this up.

However i want to be sure, and the more i look into it (wiki) the more i think these are the old versions and i have been ripped off.

The feather blades i have, have Hi Stainless written on the blade.

Can anyone clarify if these are the genuine sharp feathers that everyone refers to? Or an older, less impressive product?

Also can some one tell me what it says on the actual razor blade from the yellow packaging.

If these are an inferior product then I will go and buy the real deal from a reputable vendor.

Mine came in a yellow box mine have the feather logo and say high stainless

This question gets asked all the time. Yes the feathers in the black packaging are the same as the yellow packaging. Only difference is the black packaging contains 5 blades and the yellow packaging contains 10 blades. Same blades.

Cheers. Mine have a logo and say hi stainless. But i thought the new ones said hi platinum stainless?

These must not be the platinum coated ones then.

Sorry for bringing this question up again if it has been asked before.... Im just new to this and dint wana feel like ive been ripped off. I heard that the black packaging was like another brands packaging (shogun i think) and alarms bells started ringing.

The black packaging contains the same blades as the gold packaging, just more of them.
