Has Anyone picked up a stand similar to the one they sell in the set? I couldn't spend the extra to get the stand the first go around but now i kinda want it.

The set with the stand was expensive and I felt the stand really
didn't match the razor so I made my own on a friend's lathe.
Ikon offered stands that fit the Feather but I think they
have been discontinued. Their current Bulldog stand is
too big, but could be made to work with an insert or
shim.

What can I say, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Unlike you, everyday I fight to repress the impulse to go out and buy the Feather TAS-DS.
That is a nice stand. How many hours did that take?
I bought the Feather stand and razor initially. I wrestled with having a razor only then trying to get the stand later only by buying the whole kit. I think the extra cost of the stand is really not worth the money (not bad quality, just too much money for a stand with a thru-hole and a rubber pad $130). If there were a decent aftermarket I would have gone that direction.
