Does the SR give a closer shave than the DX?

You are shaving with an open blade with all off these. In my opinion the result is the same. The difference is how it feels in use.

I think the closeness is the same. The SR is more comfortable with less irritation.

I've finally gotten to the place (after 8 years) to admit that nearly always reach for my Artist SS Teak when I go to shave. I get a much closer shave without much drama of a potential weeper. I find my DX (both folding and kamisori) I need to be much more mindful of what I'm doing. I think I read somewhere that the DX has more of the blade exposed (?). Whatever the reason, I prefer my SS to my DX. Have a great day!
