Fear not those scary teeth!

My goal for some time has been to get a consistent, comfortable, SAS. Doing so with a single pass was the Holy Grail...searched for without much confidence of its existence.

Anyway, since I don't desire a BBS my assumption was that a mild razor was best for me.

Last spring I ended up with a razor assortment, most of which I planned to sell off...especially the scary looking ones with teeth (i.e. Open Combs). Befoer selling, I figured I would be adventurous and give them a try.

Long story short, the SE OCMM shines (especially for removing 5 days growth after a backpacking trip) but my daily go-to is...........

A Gillette OLD with a Tech ball handle, Derby blade, and Williams! What a surprise! It's so good I feel no need to experiment with or even keep other razors....except of course for the OCMM for the above mentioned reason.

Now I will most likely play around with others, but that's exactly what it will be.....playing. When I need to shave it will be as stated above. The reasonably priced equipment is just gravy!!!!!

Naturally, your mileage WILL vary.

I would have assumed that since your goal is to reduce your beard as much as possible in the one pass that you would want the most aggressive razor you could get, not a mild one. There have been threads here in the past about using multiple razors in one shave or changing the settings on adjustable razors between passes. In general they have said to start aggressive and work towards milder.
