Couldve just put everything :p
I did :lol1:
That's every possible combination of the seven.
So let’s see the list of what you don’t like.
It's a blank page
Mine would be simple. Burley and Virginia (so far).
I have to say Burley, Cavendish, Virginia is near the top, but I'm growing fonder of straight Virginias recently.
Latakia and Perique are nearer the bottom of the list.

I’m not a fan of Latakia at all. I totally stay away from any tobacco that I see it listed as an ingredient. Probably my favorite is a Va Per blend, usually Haddo’s Delight generally getting the call. Uhle’s Hunt Club on occasion.
I do like an aromatic on occasion as well. Uhle’s, Boswell or Peterson getting the call in those situations.
When the need for a full Virginia arises, Union Square, Full Virginia Flake, or Hamborger Veermaster usually satisfied.

Remember to forget me!

Yeah, me too. Most of the time, it's non-Cavendish aromatics, but I do like some Cavendish aros too, such as Celtic Talisman, Palace Gate, etc. I haven't tried the Peterson's yet, but there are three I would like to visit.

I don't subscribe to the aromatic or plain tobacco polarisation. There's tobaccos I like, and tobaccos I don't, in both categories.

I’ve smoked burley’s mostly in the past but lately I’ve gotten into straight Virginias, specifically Sutliff Va slices. Also smoking Stokkebye LNF as well. I don’t care for heavily flavored blends at all.

Have you smoked Newminster 400 Superior Navy Flake? I have been smoking that, LNF and Comoy's Cask No.4 alternating to see which I like best. So far I'd say that the Newminster is giving LNF a run for its money. It has a wonderful graham cracker sweetness. Granted, the LNF has perique and a nice rum flavor whereas the Newminster is straight Virginia. I highly recommend it for a slow smoking gem of a Virginia that won't break the bank.

Whisky

ATF. I use all three.

Have you had PS LTF? How does it compare to 400? I really like LTF so is there enough difference that I should try the 400 as well?

Latakia and Perique are definitely condiments I prefer in lower quantities. Moreso with the Latakia.

That said, I do like a bowl of Squadron Leader. That's pretty much as far as I want in terms of Latakia content.

Agree completely. In fact, I probably really "hurt my chances" of ever understanding Latakia years ago by going all in on some blends heavy with it.

After a couple of years, I found a home-spun blend in Michigan from Paul's Pipe shop called Arrowhead blend where they use it so lightly that you can actually "understand" or get why many love it. It was a pleasant experience when just simple notes of Latakia came through during a bowl of it. Sadly I am all out of Arrowhead and 1500 miles away now.

May have to call them and order some.

Perique is a different story for me, I do enjoy VaPer's such as Escudo Navy DeLuxe, Krumble Cake, etc.

I've had them both, Whisky, and in fact re-upped for some more LTF from my local shop. The tin note is different between the two: 400 seems a little more "metallic" somehow. But both smoke about the same.

As for Latakia, I'm not liking it that much. My tastes may change, and I may buy some more Edward G. Robinson, which is lightly salted with it. For now, though, when I think, "Time for a pipe," I think burley, Virginia, or both.

Most anything other than aeros.

Latakia and Perique I enjoy, but not in bombs.

Working at the desk I tend to grab burlys, later in the day English/Scottish/Balkan types. Evenings are more VaPer or Navy types.

I haven’t tried Newminster yet. I’ve been stuck on VA slices lately and getting ready to order another pound of that. 1792 is arriving tomorrow. I’m really curious if I will still like that.

I enjoy LTF however the topping on it is much more present then on the SNF. I would consider SNF more of a straight Virginia. I like them both, but for different reasons.

If you are interested in trying a Virginia with a lighter topping then I'd definitely recommend giving it a go, especially for the price. Sutliff 507C Virginia Slices is another one in that affordable straight Virginia vein that I'd recommend.

It is strange that the tin note on your SNF has a metallic scent. Mine is pure figgy, golden graham goodness. I wonder if you didn't get an off batch?

All over the board, no method to the madness. I put up the white flag, surrendered years ago and just enjoy the ride now. The only caveat is binging on Perique does a number on my sinuses so I have to apply some restraint.
