Favorite Spirits - TOP SHELF ONLY

WT Rye is gone? Man what a sincere bummer. I still have one unopened bottle I got in I think '07, but now I don't want to drink it.

I'm a big fan of Karlsson's vodka. It's a potato vodka and has a very interesting nose and taste, I would definitely recommend it to people that view all vodka's as tasteless and having no character.

Saw a bottle a couple days ago at the local ABC store. Check Green's on Buford Hwy. Those guys have everything.

I'm not a snob but when I want something tasty (and neat) I like:

Napa Valley vodka
El Dorado 15 rum
Peligroso anejo tequila
Blue Coat gin
Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel bourbon whiskey
I have never really explored cognac so am interesting in other replies.

Pretty sure Tower had some, too, when I was in town several weeks ago. I was in to buy the last four bottles on the shelf of Rittenhouse.

I don't drink, but when I did:
Cognac: Remy Martin preferred over Chivas
Vodka: Gray Goose & Blevediere are both smooth, but for the money Smirnopf.
Scotch wiskey: Black label (Blue label costs too much & red label is too harsh)
Rum: Bacardi (clear)
Gin: I don't like gin
Beer: Heinekin

I'm a Scotch and Bourbon guy.
my faves...
Scotch-
Aberlour A'bunadh- when I can find it
Oban 14 year old
Macallan 18 year old

Bourbon-
Bowman's
Basil Hayden's
Maker's 46

Bluecoat, Bombay Sapphire, or Hendricks when I'm drinking gin (nice variety of infusions).
Redbreast or Bushmills 10 when I'm drinking Irish Whiskey.

Top shelf? I only have one shelf, so all my booze goes on it. My Lagavulen sits right next to HP 12 and Dewers White label.

I tend to not drink very often lately, but when I do get to have a whole weekend to myself I don't spare any expense.

Grand Marnier is one of my favorite drinks, neat. The Louis Alexandre is a bit less sweet and a nice middle ground between the Cordon Rouge and the overpriced centennials and sadly not readily available in the US.

I hated gin until a bartender who knew his business gave me a shot of Hendricks, now I actually prefer that for martinis.

Generally I don't like whiskey, but Crown Royal's better offerings are not bad.

Scotch:
Balvenie Signature 12
Highland Park 12
MaCallan 18
Glenlivet 18

Bourbon:
Eagle Rare 10 yr single barrel

Vodka:
Hangar One

Well, my good friend.....we will have to get together and toast an Oban 14. One of my favorites. Or perhaps I can interest you in a Bowmore 12.

Used to be more of a beer guy - into micro/nano brewery offerings, but a year or so ago, got into single malts, and haven't looked back! Here are some of my favorites:
Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength
Auchentoshan 21
Balvenie Doublewood
Tullibardine Port Finish
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban

Ketel One, Dry Fly, Grey Goose. Yes, I like good, smooth vodka. It has taste. It taste like bitterness and craziness. It tastes like something is about to happen. BTW Im the most chill guy youll ever meet and am not a mean drunk... but vodka is where I go. I really want to try a $100+ bottle of Cognac, but dont know what to get. Does anyone have advice? Pms would be appreciated. Thank you.

ardbeg, laphroaig quarter cask (love that dirt/earthy taste) and evan williams single barrel or jack daniels single barrel. jd sb over crushed ice in summer.

Sipping Bourbon: Blanton's or Four Roses Small Batch
Sipping Tequila: Clase Azul Reposado or Partida Anejo
Gin & Tonics: BlueCoat or Hendrick's
Vodka & Tonic: Tito's
Dirty Maritini's: Chopin

I would like to try Old Forester Birthday Bourbon.
