I'm ok with the jerky but for me the various bars just make me hungry.
Most of the bars out there are little more than glorified candy bars, with lots of sugar and other refined carbohydrates in them. And yes, dried fruit falls into this category. The problem is that these carbs will spike your insulin and then it crashes ... and you are hungry (probably hungrier) very soon after eating the bar, even though you ingested a whole whack of calories.
