Fatip with Weber Bulldog handle...

...is awesome. A great shaver with substantial aggressiveness yet without a sense of "danger" with each stroke. It is as if one force-fed the 2011 R41 a valium.
Absolutely love the Weber Bulldog handle-it's a match made in shaving heaven. I just used it to get shaves number 5 and 6 out of a Gillette 7 OC green, and it performed wonderfully. Very close and smooth w/o irritation which was surprising given that the blade was about to be retired after 6 shaves (some tugging was beginning to show). But when the shave is over, before I apply balm or AS, I love that gently scraped feeling. (FYI, I used Mystic Water sandalwood rose shaving stick for shave number 6).

Thats my Fav combo as well, the weber rests opn the fatip head for me, if i want to use it with another razor it still goes back on the Fatip,.... between that combo and my oldtype they get about 50% of the workload and the other 10 or so razors have to share the rest of the time

The Fatip being so efficiant yet smooth is a great shave and the added weight and grip of the weber make it very comfortable letting the razor do all the work for you !! glad it worked out just as well for you Teddy !

One of my favorite combos as well.

For the last couple of weeks I've been pairing the nickel Fatip head with the new Weber Classic handle. It's a lot of handle, and the combo is a lot of razor, but the shaves have been absolutely awesome. (Sorry, I don't have a picture yet. See pic below.) The Fatip head really likes handles with heft, as you'll know if you've been following Alex's Joris/Fatip lovers' review and pics thread.

I have a Fatip Grande... enjoy it.

Is the R41 more aggressive? I am considering chasing for a R41 Grande as well.. but not if the little Fatip Grande I have will out perform it.

Here's a pic of the Fatip with Weber Classic handle, alongside the Weber DLC with Weber Bulldog handle for comparison.

Fatip+Classic weighs 104g total by my scale (29g head + 75g handle). DLC+Bulldog weighs 101g total (32g head + 69g handle). The Classic handle is 3-7/8" in length (9.8 cm); the Bulldog is 3" (7.6 cm).

The R41 is different, for sure. I think most would agree it's more aggressive than the Fatip, in the sense that it provides a more immediate sensation of blade against skin. Whether it's more efficient is another question. Both razors give me BBS/DFS with two passes plus touch-up. While the R41's BBS lasts longer for some, I don't see any difference between the two in that respect. Overall, the two razors are different enough that, if you're at all curious, or are just hankering for the most aggressive DE shave, you'll want to own both.

I do want to own both! My joris will be here on the 27th according to the UPS tracking info. I already love my R41. I can't wait to compare them.

i never knew weber had a third handle out, i have the first two and they are great handles, the new one looks class as well.

The new Classic supersedes the old Classic, is my understanding. They are similar, but a closer look shows real differences. As you can see in the photos, the new one is slightly thicker and quite a bit heavier, and has a polished finish. They're both great in my book; I really appreciate the extra length, and the trademark Weber "grippiness".

i use the old classic on a fatip head, its a great match for me, the new one looks a bit more classy and a fair bit heavier, i am tempted to get one of those new classics, although i fancy one of those ufo handles for a change.

I too love the weber handles...excellent grip and weight. It seems as though it'll make any head perform better. After reading this post, I think I need a FaTip!
