FaTip with DE89 cap

The backplate of the Fatip I have is fine. It is the cap what is let's say not perfect and causes misalignment of the blade. I just tried DE89 cap (and handle) with Fatip backplate and it looks good and aligns the blade perfectly.

Has anybody tried that combination? I would try myself but have to wait for a few days to let my skin get back to normal.

I've tried it. It works fine. Takes a lot of the aggression out of the razor. I prefer the FaTip as is.
I know I'm not the only one who has tried it.

Thank you. So it works pretty much like a regular DE89 aggression-wise?

no its still a bit more aggressive than a 89 but not as much as the normal fatip.
