2/19/2015 Fatboy February / Fatboy Friday Head and Face SOTD
16 Shaves (9 Head, 7 Face)

I decided to go for an ATG pass on the head today. I'm on the leadership team for our church's first men's conference. It starts this evening, runs until midnight, and I have to be back at 6 am tomorrow morning. I won't get a chance to shave tomorrow, so I figured I'd go for extra close today. Still not BBS, and I think I can actually get the same results by doing modified XTG passes with just a touch of ATG angle. I had some pretty good results recently with a PAL Adjustable, but the Fatboy wasn't very comfortable ATG.

I also switched up the Mitchell's for some Sharp Dressed Man today. Man I love that soap. 3 hours later and it's still lingering. Great scent, probably my favorite soap.

12th shave of fatboy Feb.

I have not been able to shave for a few days do to a nasty fall i took on Monday night during an ice storm.
i went out to salt the steps out front and took one step out the door and started to slide right to the steps..
next thing i know im in the air and falling with my back landing right on the corner of the top step and down the rest i went.
long story short i was laid up for a few days but got to shave last night and man it felt good

this shave was incredible after a few days growth.
started out with a hot shower and from CF preshave gel.
used my Omega Hi-Brush in my scuttle with some AOS ocean kelp cream (love that cream)
did 3 passes with my 59 fatty, the first 2 passes where set to 5 and the 3rd was at 7 with a fresh Gillette yellow 7 o'clock blade
followed with some CF midnight stag aftershave

i cant tell you how good it felt to shave after not being able to for a few days!

Sorry to hear that Mike. I hope you feel back to normal quickly. While I can't quite empathize with slipping on the ice (we hit 88 on Wed), I completely understand about how good it feels to shave after being forced to take a break. I can go a little longer on my face, but I can only take about 3 - 4 days on my head before it just doesn't feel right.

The GFT shave creme makes a nice rich lather with almost no smell. 3.5/5 stars
The Fine Platinum is very "minty" not really to my liking. 2.5/5 stars

Fatboy still on 7 with a second shave on my Gilllette Rubie blade.
I used Cella shave creme and Spanish Leather AS.
I am really digging the Spanish Leather AS I think a bottle of it is in my future.

So... I used the proraso pre shave and shaving cream (green) for the first time.
Turns out, my barber uses proraso green pre shave (I'd never asked before)

The Virgin is still rocking the personna med-prep and I turned it up to seven again.

Two passes, wtg,xtg above the jaw. dfs+
Wtg, wtg below the jaw. sas.

No irritation, no wheepers. I'll definitely be repeating this again. The blade isn't causing any issues , so will be getting a sixth? use.
What is the difference between these two?

Used a Rapira blade first use.
Maca root shave cream, probably my favourite lather for slickness.
Omega 49 brush. (My only brush) I really need to invest in something a bit smaller.
Fatboy on setting 4 for the 3 passes.
Finished with loreal sensitive shave balm and then Terres de Hermes aftershave.

3 passes. New Rapira blade, actually had to look and see if it shaved on the first pass. First use on this blade is super smooth. Felt like I was just wiping the soap off.
