Just bought this a couple of days ago. It's a 1961 year.
Cleaned and sanitised it, bunged in a new Rubie Plus, and had my first shave this morning.
I already own a Tech aluminium made in England, Tech made in England, ball end handle (no idea of date), Tech Flatbottom made in England , NEW LC, bar handle (Nickel, replated/restored), IKON 101.
So, a bit of variety but no adjustables.
A local guy offered me this Fatboy and I couldn't resist (damn rabbit holes we fall into).
I read that the Gold Fatboys were reasonably rare.
Is that so? Does any rarity transpose into higher prices for them?

Some plating loss, but clean and sound.
So, the shave?
A great shave. A tad 'smoother' than the NEW LC (the NEW has been my 'go to' razor for a few months now).
Certainly mows the whiskers off nicely, and better than the Techs, but just a wee bit bulky for under the nose (which is where the NEW and the Techs really work well).
Will I keep it? Probably will. It's a beauty.
Looking forward to tomorrows shave now.
