fat handle tech +dating

So latest addition to RAD arrived. A fat handled tech. It cleaned up nice a bit of brass showing on the corners of the head and a bit on the knurling of the handle. Still a beauty. :)
So... dating a no date code fat handle... 38 to 45, another link says 39 with triangle slots (check got em) with years 42 to 45 being war production only... BB wiki says war production were plastic handle and dark heads.
So my nickel plated fat handle is 39 to 41???

I shaved with it for the first time today. Now that is baby but smooth. It is not what I would call especially mild or forgiving... unless you are careful.
I have two razors that I can speed shave with without fear and get a great shave. I'm not perfect in my angles to face all the time, sometimes I my lather isn't as thick and wet as it could be. This tech will be a dandy and in my full time lineup but after this first shave, I'm not going to go about it with abandon and as carelessly as my last shave but dang it get the chin whiskers off there better than my adjustables. :) I may not have to shave for three days. :'( I normally skip a day to keep my face happy.

Tech started production in 1938. Commercial sales were suspended during the war years and resumed after. I just call the D slotted techs pre-war as there is not a reliable way to pin an exact date down (38,39,40,or 41)

thanks, so it looks like was there.

I found this on a site offering a ball end tech. "Underside of razor says: Regus, Pat Off., Gillette, Made in USA." They call it a Gillette Regus razor. Hmmm never heard of that model. ;)
