Fashion Trends - is the NBA a leader or follower?

An article about NBA draft night fashion that some may find mildly interesting (Forgive me if I originally read about this on B&B). Looks like everyone is dressing better these days:

Of course there are other/older articles as well such as this one: 2011 NBA Draft Style Analysis: The Suits Finally Fit and Kemba is King
These guys may or may not be fashion icons, but they are show men.

Culturally, the NBA (and professional athletes in general) doesn't drive anything. They react to popular trends and capitalize on them.

I guess GQ has done a pretty good pushing pocket squares and suits and/or coats to the sporting community.

To the ridiculous extent, as some models wear tweed coats with all sorts of hoodies and shirts underneath.

GQ puts out ten issues a year. How that's "quarterly" I dunno, but maybe we can discuss it their math skills are better than their style advice or advicey-versa.

Anyhow, when you have that many magasines to fill you have to find something to day that's actually different than what you said in the previous thirty issues or so. (Beyond that and the readers probably have forgotten. Nobody saves the magasines that long unless the cheesecake photos are particularly tasty, anyhow.
