Familiar with SHAVING FACTORY brand DE?

I am fairly new to wet-shaving and DE razors (about 1 month). I only own 1 DE that is a SHAVING FACTORY DE. It is the Only one I have ever put against my beard. I have only ever used DERBY EXTRA blades in it. I have only ever used this combination of blade/DE with Van Der Hagen soap/brush starter kit. I started out as most newbies probably do....nicks/cuts/weepers a-plenty. I can now get BBS smooth with little irritation as my lathering has improved and technique has improved and within 3 passes (WTG/XTG/ATG). But.....It seems as though my passes are initiated with more strokes than necessary. As if the blade is just not very effective. I feel as if I have to "work" it against my face too much too get it that close specially during my final ATG pass, and clean-up. I actually can "clean-up" any patches of non-BBS areas with just water and blade work (no lather). I can do all of this with a quite vigorous blade action and not nick/cut myself and little irritation. So my question is.....

Is this SHAVING FACTORY DE a more "mild" razor in comparison to other razors? I have no experience with any other razor so I cannot compare the relationships myself. I only know how my razor acts against my beard and it tells me it is too mild?

Yep your right. The shaving Factory brand is simalar (or maybe the same) as the Weshi brand razor. An efficient but quite mild razor IMHO. If your after something a little more aggressive then consider a vintage Gillette Tech, Slim, super adjustable, new Merkur or Muhle brand razor. Drop by the review section for more complete answers. While I'm here I found the SF stubby brush to be a great little travel brush and their stiptic matches a re a good buy aswell.
