Falcon pipe plastic washer replacement

Heated plastics releases vapors, that can bring extra damage to your mouth/lungs.
Have anybody succeed to find any metal washers in the same size ?

Forgive my ignorance I've never smoked a Falcon pipe but have seen them in the tobacconists. Where does the washer go, does it sit between the bowl and the stem?

Yes it is. It's the black one as shown:

it's more of a heat resistant rubber.
Not a plastic seal.
if it's too big a deal to overlook,
I suggest seeing if the bowl will
seat against the stem without it.
Or, get an American made Falcon.
Those came with no seal.

Both bowls, that I have are untight (leaks the air) without the seal.
I was looking around (eBay, Google) and can't find any Falcon without a seal.

I have a falcon style pipe made by Alco in England that isn't seated with a seal. Just smoked it tonight actually. They are around, just keep your eye out.

The gasket isn't actually in the smoke or the air being drawn in, if it's sealing like it's supposed to, I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble. I'd go to the plumbing supply store and get an "O" ring to fit. You might even find something from a material you are more at ease with.

Interestingly the falcon pipes in my local tobacconist, UK, don't appear to have these washers. Must be a variation.

Synthetic materials have a tendency to crack over time. Especially when they get hot and cool down every day. So I don't understand why it should be impossible to get a replacement ? Strange :confused1
