Falcon Dry Rings hack

I know I've mentioned this before somewhere, but thought it deserved its own thread to make it easier to find.

Most Falcon pipe users know that pipe cleaners can be used to make your own dry rings, to save money on buying the factory made ones. What I discovered to add to this, is the mouthpiece is the perfect length guide for the cut pieces.

Oh, and the pliers on a Victorinox Deluxe Tinker (or other plier laden Swiss knife) does a cracking job of the cutting and bending too

I've always screwed up a bit of paper kitchen towel and stuffed it in. Works just fine at soaking up the goo.

I wrap the cleaner around a pen or pencil and cut four rings at once. Not my idea originally.

I use my gerber multitool. Place end of cleaner between the pliers, make a loop, snip, insert into falcon or wiebe.
