I have some MWS sandlewood rose in stick form. I know my MMV, but what do you folks think about general face washing with this? I work 12 hour shifts in a non air conditioned warehouse, and the shaving stick is about 1 inch in diameter and would be real handy to freshen up with while at work.

You could do that, but it seems, at least to me, the waste of good shaving soap. Why not just get a small bar or portion of a large bar of soap to do the same task? Is it the scent you like?

Haha I used Arko to wash my face the other morning, since it was just the closest thing. The scent (which I neither love nor hate) lingered around on me for hours.
I use shaving cream/soap to wash my face all the time. Its better than most of that harsh stuff they have out there with SLS.

I actually find the packaging to be very convenient, kind of like a chapstick. I can just wet my face and apply, rather than trying to handle a small bar of sticky soap. I like the scent as well.
When I shave I usually wash my face with whatever lather is left. Just brush the lather on your forehead, wipe off and rinse with water.
I'd probably save the stick and get a tube of face wash, you'll accomplish what you're trying to do easier and it'll be better for your skin. http://www.neutrogena.com/category/men.do

It was thoughts on using Proraso (the Bigelow rebrand) as a facewash.
Everyone seemed to like the idea. It's easily available, cheap, the little tube is very portable, and gives the face a nice cooling sensation.
