Face Wash Recommendation

I was hoping I could get a face wash recommendation from you fine gentlemen. I have what I suppose is combination skin, my "T" zone is more on the oily side while my cheeks and neck are on the normal side. For the longest I used Clean and Clear face wash but that left my normal skin area really dry. I tried the sensitive formula and that left my "T" zone feeling oily. I'm currently using the Wal-Mart version of the Neutrogena face wash but it doesn't leave my face with that clean feeling that I expect when I wash my face while showering before my shave. I tried a sample of Billy Jealousy White Knight and I liked the way my face felt but, being that I only used it once, I don't know how it would work long term on my skin. And at $20/bottle I'm not sure I want to take that risk. I do appreciate your input.

I currently use the Nivea for Men face wash with menthol and it works quite well. I wanted it because of the menthol, and it's not a lot but just enough to be noticeable. It's under $5. I believe Neutrogena makes a similar one but without menthol.

Everyone's skin is different, so only experimentation will tell for you. My 2 cents for the best washes are a Neutrogena Clear Facial Bar or Musgo Real Glyce Lime Oil Soap (aka MR GLO)

My barber, who is one of the straight razor guys around here, recommended Noxzema for me. I have similar skin to the OP.

I typically use the Cetaphil for my face. Gentle, yet it does a fantastic job. My dermatologist recommends it to all of his patients. Don't be mistaken by the lack of foam, it does a great job. Recently I have tried Biore Active Ice blemish fighting cleaner and it does tingle and dries out your face a bit more

Big_OC, I also have t-zone skin. I have used many facial cleansers. I really enjoy the jack black line. I swear by their facial moisturizer and always stock up. also kiehls.for drugstore stuff you have many options. More natural is better. I just ran out of jack black last month or so and have been using cetaphil. It's what they use in many hospitals. I love it. feels like it has some slicylic acid to exfoliate the cells. I also use a clinique exfoliater in the shower every 2 weeks in teh summer.
Also, I love the nivea product line. no allergic reactions whatsoever and excellent product for the price. their cooling facial wash is also good. I have it in my travel bag.
good luck. and remember, drug stores have great facial products. and many expensive ones are mucho hype. (My sister used to work at a few dept stores and used to get me tons of products)

Cetaphile was recommended by my doc too. It works, but it isn't magic. After a few month, though, my face was/is 1000% improved.

Just started using the neutrogena naturals line. Scrub 3x a week with the regular cleanser Inbetween. Then the moisturizer only at night, as I use aftershaves in the morning.

I used to use a Body Shop product called "Glycerine and Oat Facial Lather"..It was discontinued several years ago, I have been looking for an adequate sub since...
currently using Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating...I like it, and have similar skin to the OP....

however, If anyone is familiar with the other product and can direct me to something very similar....I would be very greatfull

I have sensitive skin that is oily in some spots, dry in others. I have to be very careful with the face wash I use. Some products leave my skin bright red, others make me break out like a teenager.

After much experimentation, I have found the perfect face wash for me: Lab Series Power Wash. I've used this for two years, and I couldn't be happier. It's about $20 a bottle now, but it lasts me at least four months per bottle. My skin literally glows when I use this twice a day:

I'm a big fan of many of the products from the Lab Series Skincare for Men line. Perhaps I'll post a review on B&B of all the Lab Series products that I've tried.

I use Origins Checks and Balances. It is pricey, but a very little goes a long way. I have been using the same tube for 2 years now.

Wow! Thanks for all the options. Obviously this is a YMMV. I did buy a tube of Nivea for Men Refreshing Face Wash and so far, over the last five days, I am please with the results. Obviously, I'll need to use it a bit more but so far so good. If it doesn't work out I'll revisit this thread and try the next option.
