Experience with the Gillette pocket edition?

So, I really like the look of this razor, but I keep getting outbid. As a user rather than a collector, I wonder if it is a worthwhile investment. Anyone have experience with this razor? I have a couple of ball-ends, Bostonian, long comb. Am I missing anything with the pocket edition?

It actually has a thinner bottom OC plate that makes it a bit more nimble. Mine also has a solid handle as opposed to the hollow ball-end handle found on the old-types. It's a treat to use.

ABC pocket edition razors are worth having ... a notch above the ball end with the sturdier handle!

As I understand, some sets didnt have anything on them. Unmarked #500 sets have been found.
