$163 Vintage Rooney

A nice brush - I was priced out very early... I hope a B&B member got the brush of his dreams with this one!

Is this a particularly uncommon brush? A GREAT vintage brush?

If anyone here was in the hunt - please tell me about this one.

I had that one on my watch list also and I was priced out early too. I have a couple of vintage butterscotch Rooneys. This one is a little taller than normally seen and the loft is a little higher.

I think the value to the buyer may have been that it was a very nice butterscotch from a quality brushmaker.

As a note of interest, a nice vintage Simpson's butterscotch Keyhole 4 just sold for $50. BIN. The knot on that one was in excellent shape.

Nice score. I debated about that one long and hard. Since I already have a Simpson's KH2 and a Colonel X2L, I figured SWMBO would permanently end my SBAD.

hahahha - I'm seriously trying to pull back (especially on brushes)... and then something like that pops up. If it is indeed a good knot, I think it's a bargain.

...and I will have spent more on worse, y'know?

I hope we hear about that Rooney....
