I just received from Krona Kruiser two beautiful razors, a G-2 Fatboy and a LC Gillette New! I picked up the Fatboy from a flea market for $3 and the LC New from a thrift shop for $5 a few weeks back. They were both a bit worse for wear.... The Fatboy came with a dropped bottom(a push to open), plate loss along the duration of the handle, very little number enamel, and some deep scratches on the silo doors... The New was in worse condition with several slightly bent teeth, MAJOR plate loss all over the razor, and it came complete with a rusted to pieces blade in the head... I was referred to Krona Kruiser for a replate by another B&B member about two weeks ago and I've already received them back!
First Impression: Speechlessness, the final result was absolutely above and beyond what I was expecting!
Cost: Two Razors only cost me $30 a piece, shipped for a total of $60!!! That's less than a revamp from some businesses....
Speed: Received both razors back about Two weeks from the day I shipped them off! Simply amazing!
Quality of Service: First, he fixed the dropped TTO Knob on the Fatboy and straightened the teeth on the New. Then he had to perform a rigorous clean on each to remove plating and built up rust. Next was a good polish and a plating of Bright Nickel. Finally another polish/shine and reapplying black enamel to the Fatboy, all of this within a two week time frame. Each razor is beautifully polished to a mirror shine. The only blemishes on either of them is a small scratch the previous owner must have made on the head of the Fatboy and some small dents on the bottom of the bar handle of the New(neither of these could have been fixed completely by a replate or revamp). Both blemishes add character and remind me of their history.
I'll let the pictures say the rest! Thank you KRONA KRUISER!
