Hey guys. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I've been DE Shaving for about two months. Started off with a Van Der Hagen TTO, Williams Mug Soap, and a drug store "burma shave" boar brush. Didn't have great results with that set-up. I think I might be allergic to something in Williams, It makes my face a fiery red and I only realized that it wasn't my shaving technique later when I noticed my irritation was also high on my cheeks where I didn't shave, but the lather had reached.
I ditched all of that in favor of a Maggard kit. Much better.
I have since then acquired a few eBay Gillette Adjustables, but I have put them aside for now, focusing on my technique with my Maggard, before branching out.
The wife is on the DE train now as well, Maggard razor and Stirling Witchy Woman!
My current temptations are:
Brushes - Fine Stout, Sterling Badger, Semogue 830
Razors - Super Speed, Ming Shi Future
