everyday but not dull platunum cufflinks

i would love to be able to find a good set of everyday cufflinks, that really go with everything, something slightly out of the ordinary but not too zany and certainly not dull...
i had thought about getting something from links of london here: http://www.linksoflondon.com/online-shop/men/cufflinks a friend of mine from london showed it to me and its is pretty good but alot of people wear them apparently. id rather have something a little bit more unique.
the trouble is, looking in general at the market here: http://www.twenga.com/price-platinum-cufflinks.html they all look pretty OTT or just dull, i cant seem to find a happy medium. does anyone have a pair they can recommend me? a brand? a style? really appreciated

Links of London is a little too flashy for me...I prefer cufflinks that are coins, colored stones, sports themed, airplanes, guy stuff, etc. Other than ebay and estate sales, my favorite places to buy cufflinks are Cuff Art and New Orleans Cufflinks.

Seeing as you are considering buying platinum cufflinks, you are obviously willing to spend a reasonable sum of money. Why not speak with a manufacturing jeweller and see what they have to say? Between the two of you, you should be able to come up with a design that is unique, practical and affordable.

They'e silver in colour, so they'll go with just about everything, and they are not actually silver, so you don't have to worry about them tarnishing.
