Ever-Ready year?

Against my better judgement, i just GROSSLY overpaid for red and cream Ever-Ready brush on ebay.

Is there any way to determine what year it might be made?

Might help to post a pic. And also detail what words , symbols, and other inscriptions you found on the base of the handle.

I've not received it yet, but here are some photos from the auction.

How much did you grossly overpay? Cus they have like twelve of those at my local antique shop for 8 bucks a pop.

You didn't do too bad. I've recently seen guys trying to sell that style for $25-30, maybe more on the Bay recently. Plus it looks like it is in very good shape.

I'd like to see some good info for determining the age of these brushes as well.

I think the price was fair given its condition. It looks unused. IMHO it's one of the prettiest vintage brushes, a classic design.
Edit: You were asking about year of production. Brushes are difficult to date. I think this one is 50's because it's not made of bakelite or catalin.

That would be SWEET, I was hoping for something from the 50's.

When it arrives, I have to decide whether to just sterilize it, or replace the knot.
