Ever Ready 500

I picked up a rather nasty looking Ever Ready 500 brush at a flea market. I then talked to Rudy Vey who worked a miracle.

It not only is beautiful after being restored and getting a new knot by Rudy Vey, but lathered the AOS Sandalwood like a champ. I got a very good deal on this, and best of all was visiting with Rudy who is a true gentleman in every sense of the word. BrianW was there too, and he likewise is always a pleasure to meet, and like Rudy also epitomizes what is best about B&B.

I wish I had taken before photos, but I can sure show you the after photos:

I have been shaving with this brush daily since Thanksgiving.

I haven't had a bad shave or a bad lather yet. Today, I had a two pass BBS shave with my Slant Sledgehammer using Real Shaving Co. cream.

What more can one ask of a brush?!?

It is a 24 mm, short-lofted Silvertip.

It was probably 24mm - Rudy just popped the old knot out and put a new one in. Well, "popped" is a gross oversimplification, but you get the idea.
