Ever Ready 200T - how do I restore?

Hey, fellas...

This brush came with an Old Spice mug that I found at an antique store a few weeks ago.

It's an Ever-Ready 200T.

I skimmed through another thread and saw guys restoring them, but I have no clue where to start. I tried pulling the knot out of the handle to no avail.

I think the knot is 20mm.

Any suggestions on how to get the knot out, where to get a new one, and how to put the new one in? $ImageUploadedByTapatalk1407276944.807599.jpg$ImageUploadedByTapatalk1407276959.774126.jpg

Good luck. This isn't hard to do with only hand tools and some elbow grease. Be sure to show us the finished product.

Will, do. I don't have a vice, so I tried ripping the knot out with a pair of pliers and ended up just cutting all of the hair off.

I guess I'm going to have to drill it out.

Drilling works too. Don't go too deep, your just trying to break up that epoxy plug on the bottom off the knot. Good luck with it.
