estate/ebay pipes

i am just wondering what brands to look out for on ebay as far as estate pipes go. i know peterson, savinelli. so far my best pipe is a estate dr grabow omega.

There are so many, but you've named a couple of good ones. What I do is browse the ppipes until I see one I like, then
look up the brand.

If your looking to keep cost down good prices can be found on GBD, Comoy, Chacom, and Stanwell in addition to what you've listed if you keep your eyes open.

That's really a tough one because nearly all (if not all) the pipe makers have a second line which is all the pipes that don't make tw royal cut to be the Dunhill, Peterson, Radice, Savanelli, Tsuge, etc so they shift them into wonderful second labeled which usually go unknown and unnoticed.

After typing the above I did find this incredibly long list of pipe firms that might help. http://pipe.hydrograph.net/links/maker_links.html

Want to know which brands are seconds of the big names? Want to know which company made that squiggly symbol on your pipe shank?

I found http://www.pipephil.eu/ to be a great resource. (not affiliated in any way) You can look companies up by name or by symbol - lots of other neat info too.

That's one of those how-long-is-a-piece-of-string questions, I'm afraid. To the names already listed I'd add Vauen, Brebbia, Civic and Butz-Choquin.

There's lot's of info and a huge list by country at Pipedia. If nothing else, it will give you an idea of the scale of your question :001_smile To give an example of the number of "seconds" brands, Pipedia lists 14 Stanwell sub-brands and 36 each from Savinelli and Comoy!
