Months ago the groundsmen said it wasn't going to be anywhere near playable.
3 days ago the officials checked the pitch.
This morning they did an inspection.
Then when Taylor and Edwards nearly cripple themselves trying to perform a run up to bowl they suddenly realize its not actually a pitch anymore , its a sandpit.
How this can be allowed to happen in what is supposed to be the very pinnacle of the game i really don't know.
Add that to the shambles of our performance in the last test , and it makes you wonder how the sport has any fans left in England.
Utter disgrace.
