I didn't see a post on this, but if its a duplicate feel free to delete it.

This is the first I have heard of this, thanks for posting!!!

This may shed some light on how Wilkinson Sword is able to say "blades made in USA" on many of the packages of the new Wilkinson Sword products being sold at Wal-Mart. Maybe Schick already had ASR making those blade in preparation for Schick buying the company.

That would be pretty ironic that ASR would then still have been making products for Wal-Mart even though they lost their contract with Wal-Mart (which lead to the bankruptcy in the first place).

I am not sure if this acquisition is bad, or good for shaving.

It does however, truly mean, that at least in America there are only two players of any substance in the shaving market: Schick/ Energizer Holdings, and Gillette/ Proctor and Gamble.

If you are a huge company, and a competitor is a threat, just simply buy them out!! :tongue_sm
