ems injector question

paranoid question only to eliminate ridiculous worries--the ems injector blades are shipped sterile, right? i made a stupid mistake while transferring blades and got a good slice.

i had read that industrial blades were not guaranteed sterile, even though they were. i've been giving them (and any blade) an alcohol dip just to be certain, but this time i didn't get the chance.

They are not industrial blades, they are blades for the medical profession. I would think they ought to be reasonably sterile.

Even if they are not, your post shave splash of aftershave should take care of any badies on your face anyway.

Are any blades shipped 'sterile'? Unless they're packed in a sealed wrapper somehow, they're going to be exposed to air and contaminants long before they reach your face.

I've been using "medical"/"industrial" grade blades (SE and injectors) for about 2 years now and I've had no ill effects. I don't treat them any different than a "shaving" razor. Pop one in, quick rinse under a hot tap and go.
