ELEVEN brand shaving soap

I had the Eleven brand " Blue Spruce" for many years. smells like a blue spruce. I recently bought six more because I loved the new artwork and was pleasantly surprised by the nice scents and shave! Made in Charleston SC

Sicilian Lemon is about as good as it gets when it comes to straight up lemon scented soaps. I've wondered about Sweet Orange. Is Sweet Orange to oranges as Sicilian Lemon is to lemons?

I love Eleven. Great slickness in the soaps, and the scents are beautiful.

I love the "slickness" while shaving and enjoy the fact that in my opinion the slickness washes off with water easily. I don't like an oily feel after the fact. I had an very nice Cedarwood scent shave today. Very happy. Yaqi brush. 34G Merkur razor Voskhod blade. "Boat Drinks" Stirling splash. It was a thick rich lather but not heavy on my face. (I consider Gentleman's Nod heavy)

BTW - Paulo recently changed the aftershave formula to non-alcohol. If you like alcohol a/s, Maggards has some of the old stock on clearance at 38% discount!

Not recent. I was thinking that years ago his company went by another name. If I recall correctly he moved from the mid west area to SC and was reworking his formula closer to the Julian base. New location, new state laws, new formula---a name change seemed sensible.

It's from the soaper behind Sapone Di Paulo. He has reformulated to a tallow soap and he changed the name of the company to Eleven.

A switch from vegan to tallow would make a name change a good idea.

The now discontinued scent of oak, amber, patchouli is lovely and need only have a tiny bit left. I need to find another tub but it’s not easy to find.

From what I remember, Sweet Orange is a very straightforward, pleasant citrus. I would give the edge to Sicilian Lemon just because a pure lemon scented soap is so hard to find. Can’t go wrong with either!

I pulled the trigger on Sweet Orange and it's a nice orange scent, but Sicilian Lemon is the bomb.

Congrats on the new soap! I see there’s new artwork for the label on Lemon. Now I want to order another jar just for that haha
