Electric razors vs catridge blades

For those of you who have used both electric and cartridge razors, which have you found to be better for razor bumps? I know DE is the preferred way to go, but if you had to chose electric or cartridge which one would it be?

I'd grow a beard if those were my only 2 choices. Having said that, I would choose a TracII razor over an electric razor any day.

+1 I think the sensor is the best cartridge razor gillette ever made. I tried every style of elctric out there and none ever gave me a good shave.

I used Trac II with ASR no lube strip cartridges for 20 years or so and a Panasonic electric for a couple of years before switches to DE. I never got bumps with the TracII, but it did happen a couple of times with the electric. I was able to get a decent shave with the electric except for on my neck, the Panasonic just would not give a good shave lower on the neck. I had to use a TracII razor to touch up on the neck with an electric.

Cartridges, definitely. Can't stand electrics. "Close as a blade, with less irritation!" Yeahhh, right.

If I had to choose, i would go for electrics, my last Wilki disposable give me 6 bumps in 3 days O_O
But the sensorII is also a terrible shaver.
At this moment, I shave with an electric because i can't get great shave with DE, they're too irritating.

Life is too short for 20 hour grinds (like I have to do with an electric) so cartridge for me, although the original question is like "would you prefer to be stabbed or shot?"

No contest really:rolleyes::rolleyes:Cartridge razors cut hair poorly.Electric shavers just hack the hair off your face.:eek:The most disgusting invention of the 20th Century.
