Electric razor

Here's one that I picked up recently and just got around to cleaning it up. It's made by Friedmann & Lauterjung, it was made (the best I can tell) between 1873 and 1890 in New York City. The blade is almost 6/8 and the spine is just over 1/4 thick, it's one of my heaver razors. It came in this tin case, I'm amazed at how good the condition is after all of these years. If anyone wants to add something or correct me on something I would love to hear it.

Thanks for the replies Gentlemen.

I was just thinking this morning, electric was "invented" in 1879 and was probably a hot topic at the time, so I could narrow time frame down to around 1880 to 1890.

Is it rechargeable? Beautiful razor!

Well it didn't come with a cord and I don't see where you put a battery so I'm not sure. Maybe your'e supposed to hold a cord in one hand and shave with the other. You could cauterize your cut as you shave. :117:
