Ej pure badger shedding

Been using my brush for like 3 months now.It usually 1-2 hairs when bowl lathering per shave so I have stopped using a bowl and now just face lather. When doing so I may loose a hair now and then.

Last night I bowl lathered using a soap. To my utter dismay I lost 5 hairs.Is this normal? I don't use to much pressure when lathering.. Ok maybe last night I used a bit more but with no pressure one can't build a lather.

Any comments...

Possibly soap residue has built up inside the knot. Try a thorough cleaning: How_to_Clean_a_Shaving_Brush.

I cleaned my brush a week ago.. Will face lather tonight and try giving it a good clean again tomorrow...
