EJ DE89 Package Insert Promoting Cartridges?

After using a Gillette SS for 10 years, my wife bought me an EJ DE89 for Christmas. I realize they have an arrangement with Gillette, but I thought it was odd for them to champion multi-blade cartridges in the packaging for a DE razor, especially immediately after talking about the benefits of safety razors.

IIRC EJ sells handles that are compatible with those cartridges.

I just took a look at the box my DE89 came in - it's from about 2 years ago. It doesn't discuss cartridge blades but it discusses "Natural Ingredients"
