Thanks, I had been thinking of trying this myself.

But new members are going to be very confused when we start recommending that they buy a makeup brush and some Kiss My Face....

Not to mention a Lady Gillette... and don't forget Nancy Boy. Lilac, lavendar scents. This shaving stuff can get pretty metro at times.

i have to go watch "the outlaw josey wales" then spit on someone and punch them in the face.....

i will be back in a bit...

My wife has a few of these. She swears by these things for makeup. She picks these over her more expensive brushes every time. I know that has little to do with lathering with it, but I think it does speak from the craftsmanship and quality of it.

She would probably amputate me if I used it for lather.

for $7 I couldn't resist. I'll be joining the club. I got a brand new one for $6.98 w/ free shipping from ebay!

Mine just came yesterday. 30/39 mm knot - holy stubby!

Will use it tomorrow.

the only real down side i have with it is that it takes FOREVER to dry............

shave today... tomorrow it is still damp on the inside.... *(my badger that i am allergic to **(sad face) would dry overnight.....)

Ok, my wife got me the kabuki finisher brush. I test lathered TOBS lavender I have milled into a wooden bowl. This thing lathered faster than any other brush, boar or badger, I have. It felt nice and creamy. Very impressed. I showed my wife... She came home with the bronzer brush the next day, haha. I will try that with a test on nomad, another of my harder soaps.

I think I figured out a good way to use this. I was having a problem of the lather being too wet. I tried using a dry brush (no soaking, didn't even run it under water). I let water sit on top of my honeybee soap in its bowl. I poured the water off the puck. I started swirling the dry brush to really dig into the soap. When it looked like it was loading up, I added a few drops of water. I continued and got a nice slick, protective later. Wasn't too wet.

I'm really liking these brushes. Nice and soft feel, and they lather soaps VERY quickly. Thank you Loric for an interesting find, I otherwise would never have considered.

What does everyone think about the ultra low loft on this thing?

I like short scrubby brushes and this is no exception, so its not bad, just different.

i find it is a bit difficult to get a thick lather on my face with this brush... not saying i can't do it... i just have to take a bit more care....

that being said i prefer the slightly smaller ecotools brush i have... it is much easier to lather up with... i just wish it was a bit bigger...

Good on y'all for trying this but in the $9 range I'll have to stick to the Shea Moisture brush from Target.

I have to say that I also have the Shea Moisture brush, and I much prefer the ecotools. I like dense, stubby brushes, and the ecotools is monstrous in both categories. the Shea by comparison is a spindly flopster. The ecotools is not perfect. The fineness and dense packing of the bristles make the knot have a tendency to behave monolithically, so that it tends to push around rather than hold much lather. With soaps, I just keep loading the tips as needed and make the lather on my face.

Yes, I have the Shea Moisture brush too, it is a nice scritchy brush, but it is floppy by comparison. The only problem I was having with both ecotools brushes was the lather being too wet. Seems the synthetic hairs were really holding onto the water. Like I posted earlier, starting with a dry brush and adding drops of water fixed that. Helped create a thick lather. For me, these brushes lather soaps VERY quickly.
