I know they are incredibly well made, have a very good reputation and are adjustable but is the demand really so high compared to their rarity that prices like this are warranted? I know something is only worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it on any given occasion but the winning bidder must have *really* wanted it at that price IMO.
Fortunately for me, Eclipse Red Rings are technically closed comb razors so, given that I only collect open comb razors, I don't need to have one.
