Ebay Confuses me sometimes!!

Ok.... I recently bid on a small lot of 4 x 2.2ml Creed Imperial Millesime vials, thinking they would go for slightly less then the "Buy It Now" lot's from the same seller. Oh how i was wrong! It has happened to me in the past also!! Do people get trigger happy fingers or something!! Or are they just plain stupid when it comes to searching on Ebay..??

It could be an overzealous sniper. I've heard stories of snipers jacking the price up like 150% within the last few seconds of the auction

I have honestly seen this happen with PS3 games and all sorts of other things... I bid upto what is around the general price range on Ebay. Then BAM! The price goes through the roof...

Yes, or it could be a shill bidder or just some guy who wants to know he's "won" even though he paid way too much for the item. Usually that happens in the middle of the auction.

Sniping is unpredictable...never know what some last minute bidder is willing to pay for something.

Same thing with astronomy gear (my other hobby). I regularly see used eyepieces go for 25% - 40% higher than you could buy them brand new...I am gobsmacked!

Well you must have done this before, but the last thing in the world I would buy on eBay is Creed.

I thought it would be a little safer purchasing Vials instead of a full bottle of fake Creed :/

Misunderstood that it was small vials.

I'm all for thirft, but I don't have the patience for eBay and that bidding stuff.

TPC will sell 8ml of Imperiale for $29 and (stand behind it.) Comes in a small spray vial.

Other decanters may sell it for less.

The Creed counter at the local Neiman Marcus will give samples to you at no cost.

I dont live in America... So it sort of doesnt count Anyhow, nearly 9ml of Imperial should last me a little while. Im going to decant the vials into a 30ml perfume bottle. If i like it enough i might even purchase a few more to top it up.
