Eau de Portugal

So, what's the verdict on this one? Any good? I've heard it's orange peel scent, which is awesome sounding!

Great scent (yes, it IS orange peel, and not a sweet or adulterated one either--straight-up zest)--nice hit of glycerine as well, but like many a citrus, it's pretty fleeting. I use it regularly in my hair, not so much on my face. Another quality Pinaud product.:thumbup1:

Hey wingnut,

This sounds very good. Where can I buy it online please, any suggestions?

I just tried out some Eau de Portugal, and it has a really nice orange scent to it. But it's not very strong, and the scent dissipates quickly. I'd say within under 30 minutes I couldn't smell it anymore. But on the bright side, it won't clash with any EdT that I want to wear.

Just curious guys, how would you say its strength is compared to 4711 or Florida Water? Is it actually even weaker than those scents?

Sorry, I don't have either of them so I can't compare. (C'mon, you know you're gonna get it no matter what we say!)

Nahhh! If it's super weaker, meaning less than Florida Water, I just don't think I can do it!

Well, Zack, get your credit card out: EdP is equivalent to a good AS strength citrus. For me, it's about a 30-45 minute sniffer. AND it works to keep your unruly hair in place as well--what's not to like?!

Good question. The company that makes 4711 also makes a Portugal, and you can find it in many of the old UK lines. Trumper's makes a good one--there should be a sample in the free kit that they send out. It has a tart, citrus--orange--scent and is very nice. One of the classic types of men's fragrance. I don‘t care much for the basic 4711 EdC, but I think their Portugal ranges are great. It's hard to find, but they make an after shave, an EdC, an EdT and a hair tonic too. Pinaud is a great place to get started, but there are other choices out there.
