Duke 2 vs. Colonel X2L

Does anyone know if the density of the Duke 2 is greater than that of the Colonel? I know the Colonel's knot is a bit larger, but that does not necessarily translate into greater density. What say you?

Thanks for your time.

Yes the Duke 2 is denser than the Colonel, but not too much. The handle on the D2, instead, is much shorter and makes it look a smaller brush. In terms of latherability the Duke 2 is superior IMHO.

I just PM'd you. Thanks for your input.

My two examples have identical knots, the only difference, as noted above, is the handle height. I'm sure given the handmade nature you can get one denser than the other, but I can't spot any difference on mine

I own both, and have found the Colonel to be a little to large for my face and also a little to loose. The Duke II, on the other hand, I found to be an ideal size and perfectly dense for my tastes. It's the perfect balance of dense, soft, and scrubby. They are both wonderful brushes, but the Duke is especially wonderful!
