Dubl duck

The one second from bottom have had many years, sharpened a year ago by a shop.
Then started to learn picked up the others last year.
All bresduck except third one up is a pearl duck, seems it was probably sharpened with a diamond stone can see marks on blade the others not so much.
Bottom blade will be practice for a stone I need to get soon.
Assuming the sides are ivory or? There are different shades or just worn more.
These do not have sizes?
Is there a way to tell size.
One on top just got.

Assuming width will change as blade is honed over time.
Old shaving cup had awhile, the bowl in front is what I use to get a foam.
A friend made with some mud from the gulf dark red.

they scales/handle/sides are not probably ivory. maybe a plastic or celluloid.

the last one was probably overhoned, or homes with too low a grit or maybe just really long use and honed by a machine honer which are different honing.

The top three are indeed fine specimens, and when honed will provide excellent shaves! My two go-to's are a W&B Celebrated and a Dubl Duk SatinEdge.

Ran the bresduck blades with Lynn's naniwa method minus the 12000 stone.
1000, 5000 & 8000 stones.
Pearl duck I did this way couple weeks ago working well, now will try these.
That leaves two satin edge dubl duck blades to go sharpening.

The bottom will probably be the travel blade as had lots of use, top one bought probably twenty years ago sat in a drawer a year ago sharpened by NS that got me started shaving straight.
Middle blade also has some use & slight corrosion.
What kind of oil is reccomended to keep blades free of corrosion?

It depends on what is going to be happening with them. If going into a shave rotation, mineral oil is fine. If going to be sitting indefinite time periods, other choices would be better.

I think I have found I like the Satinedge, there is a goldedge there have yet to sharpen.
As the other Satinedge all all holding up well.
I do notice there are a couple different lengths of blade.

There does seem to be different lengths.
The gold edge on bottom may be shortest 2 5/8 then 2 6/8 & top two 2 7/8"
That measurement is to the line on the handle end where blade stops.
