Dropped my R89 Twist 😩

After only owning this great piece of kit for about a month I got clumsy and dropped it into my empty sink while shaving. No obvious marks or defects on the razor itself but when I twist the bottom knob it makes a noise almost like an over twisted spring or when you over tighten a guitar string.

The razor still works as it should, and I’ve put some clipper oil down the thread but I’m thinking there might be something internally damaged? It was a fall of about 12 inches to the sink so not very high but the impact was enough to alarm my housemate downstairs

Should I be concerned or just keep using it as normal?

Send it back to Muhle and see if they can fix it or send you a new one. They have pretty good customer service.

The knob at the bottom has a spring inside. with the cap off, try pulling on the knob a bit and wiggle it around and twist clockwise and counter to see if it helps. probably the spring inside got jolted a bit.

I was considering buying either a replacement head from Maggard's or a full regular R41 to experiment with different handles, so this happy accident has saved me...
