DRH Marlborough == L'Occitane Cade?

I recently acquired a tub of DR Harris Marlborough cream. I popped it open and gave it a sniff and instantly thought of the puck of L'Occitane Cade I had. I've since used it and my initial impression remains unchanged.

Now, contrary to what the subject line suggests, I am not saying they are the same fragrance. I definitely detect more going on with the scent of the DRH cream. But the similarity is striking.

Anyone else experience this?

cade =! marlborough

Ive got them both in soap on my desk now, and am sniffing away - probably looking completely insane :biggrin:

Cade is nice old forest, Marlborough is that forest after a fire - and the differences are much bigger when lathered up. Cade when as a dry puck is pretty calm, but the juniper et al explodes in the lather.
Its a passing similarity to me, i suppose like Sienna is to 1805.

The L'Occitane CADE SS is one of my very favorites, even though it is without tallow. I don't think it gets nearly enough love around here.

The CADE SC, unfortunately, is not in the same league (although it does make for a good superlather when used with the SS).
