Interesting read. Thx for posting. I bought a pair in the uk in late 80s. I was very excited. When i got home i remember one of my flat mates gave me a sideways look and said doc martins were for "spastic feet".....talk about a buzz kill.
Man, everybody in my 90s college days had a pair of Docs. I have owned exactly one pair in my life and found them not worth the cost. Really cheap leather.
